Kingfisher Lodge is our most popular Lodge across the Cherry Lakes complex. The combination of having a beautiful tree and reed lined 1.5 acre lake and 450 beautiful Carp up to 30lb, exclusively available to the guests in Kingfisher Lodge is clearly very appealing. We have a good number of guests who come back every year and just love staying on Cherry Springs in Kingfisher Lodge.
Similar to all of the other Cherry Lake Lodges, Kingfisher Lodge is fitted to a very high standard. It is double glazed and centrally heated. It has a fully fitted kitchen with an oven, gas hob and microwave along with a large upright fridge-freezer. It has all the pots and pans, plates and cutlery that you sensibly need for a self-catering holiday. It has a large TV and DVD player. WiFi is also available at a small extra charge. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed along with a fitted wardrobe.
It also has a large external deck area, with a table and chairs for six as well as a disposable BBQ holder. A great area to enjoy the afternoon sun and sample some wine!
Kingfisher Lodge’s large artificial grass fishing area is a delight to fish on and can easily host two and up to three anglers. The fact that this large comfortable swim is strategically positioned on a small point means that it’s anglers to reach all parts of the lake.
Cherry Springs is heavily stocked with around 450 Carp. We estimate that at least 40 of these Carp are 20lb+, with around 300+ doubles. we have some lovely Mirror, Common and Ghost Carp, many of whom were ‘born and bred’ in Cherry Springs. In the winter of 2015/16 we also stocked 10 additional fast growing young 20-23lb Mirror Carp. We are aiming for an average of one in ten Carp being caught being above 20lb.
You can check into Kingfisher Lodge to start your holiday from 12.30 but you must leave by 09.30 on your day of departure.
