More action over the weekend on Cherry Lake and Cherry Springs

I am pleased to say that both Mark Brewer in Osprey Lodge and Mark Pocknell in Kingfisher Lodge on Cherry Springs have reported action this week.

Mark Brewer landed a nice Common just below 16lb and lost a big ‘dark’ fish at the net just after dawn. Interestingly Mark choose to fish the near margins and took advantage of an empty Grebe Lodge. It is a real shame he could not land the other fish as it did sound like a good one.

Mark Pocknell in Kingfisher Lodge picked up from Luke Williams. At the time of writing Mark had reported a fair amount of ‘bleeps and short pulls’, as well as two Mirrors of 18-01 and 15-03. See below. The smaller fish, which looked like a heavily scaled Linear, looked particularly attractive and it is a shame that the photo does not do it full justice. Mark said these fish were in great condition.
