Some nice Carp and several Cancellations!

Tom Nixon-Taylor has continued to be the top rod on Cherry Lake this weekend, fishing from Osprey Lodge, and has increased his tally to 12 Carp, including 7 over 20lb to 29-08 plus this stunning 35lb Mirror Carp below. Greg Harwar has been staying in the Cottage with dawn and their two boys. Fishing only for a few hours each day, Greg has manged two over twenty pounds including this heavily scaled Mirror of 21lb below. As regular followers know, I really like family shots, and you can see the boys are fascinated with this fish. Who knows they may be Carp anglers in the making!
Craig Gascoyne has been staying this week in Kingfisher Lodge on Cherry Springs with his two boys. As well as fishing for most of the time, they have been ‘male bonding’ by playing cards and computer games and generally appearing to have a good time. The week started well with 7 Carp in the first 36 hours including this impressive 24-08 Mirror Carp to Craig below. Fishing has slowed to just one or two a day (actually I mean night), as the Carp seem to be feeding primarily in the darker hours on Cherry Springs at the moment.
We have also surprisingly just had a cancellation for Kingfisher Lodge on Cherry Springs in September. The following dates are now available
Monday 11 – 15 September
Friday 15-18 September
Monday 18-22 September.
