Jay Livermore enjoyed his holiday stay in Osprey Lodge and landed 9 Carp, 7 of which were over 20lb including a new PB Common of 31-04. Jay therefore becomes the newest member of the Cherry Lakes 30+ club.
Fishery manager Dave Bowen took advantage of an empty Heron Lodge this week and ‘booked’ some very last minute holiday (in fact he phoned at 07.30 am to announce ‘i am going fishing’! he is glad he did, because he caught his biggest Carp to date from Cherry Lake, the magnificent Leather at 33-04. This fantastic fish is a male and extremely long (he just fits into a big cradle) and as you can see he looks in tip-top condition.
Cherry Lake has now produced 6 thirties and a 40 over the last few weeks.
With Pochard and Kingfisher also getting a rest this week, there is nothing to report from these lakes.
