A stunning sunset over Cherry Mere
Suzan Szoke lands a 40lb Common.

More normal service this week with all lakes producing, but not as outrageously prolific as last week's amazing sequence of results.
Rather than starting with catch reports, I thought I would lead with this fabulous atmospheric photo taken by Caroline Bailey whilst staying in Kingfisher Lodge on Cherry Springs this week. I hope you like it anywhere near as much as I do!
Most of our guests are either familiar with, or confident to use, our on-line calendar to check dates and make bookings. There are however a good number of people who do not and assume we are always busy. Thereby missing out on some of the vacancies we have. Fishing couple Peter and Suzan Szoke visited Cherry Lake for the first time last weekend and chose to fish from Osprey Lodge on Cherry Lake.
They had a great time and landed from memory 4 Carp between them. Suzan was over the moon, when I caught up with her and Peter, with her new PB, a Common Carp of 40lb, pictured above. A real shame that I was not around to see this cracking looking Carp, which looked like it was still carrying a lot of spawn.
I was however lucky enough to be around for Peter's stunning Ghost Carp pictured below. Whilst not the biggest of his Carp (a 27lb fully scaled Mirror was), this 19lb marbled Ghost Mirror was the one which really caught my eye. What a stunner and I love those shoulders! Just wait until this home grown baby reaches 30lb+
Peter and Angela Jones always spend some time with us each year in June, and this year has been no exception. Peter is also well known as the manager of the leading tackle shop 'The Tackle Box' in Dartford, Kent.
Peter's trip is going well and he has already landed 7 Carp so far from Grebe Lodge including a Mirror of 32lb and this lovely 37lb Common pictured below. I am sure there are more to come
Paul and Ian Reynolds are having a ball this week in Pochard Lodge on Cherry Mere. I understand their running total is 18 Carp between them including a 28lb Mirror and this 32-08 beauty to Paul pictured below. Needless to say they seem to be very happy! This Carp was caught by Dave Shaw in January at 30-08.
