Cherry Lakes switches on!

A good week on both Cherry Lake and Cherry Pool with the fish switching on in such great March conditions. In total some 20 Carp were landed from Cherry Lake. Chris Hughes, aka ‘The Squirrel’ (on the basis that it looks like he is wearing a squirrel on his head!) was the star of the show landing 15 Carp during his stay including 12 twenties to 29-04 and the new lake record Ghost Mirror of 33-08. See the last post for full details. His last fish this morning was the 29-04 Mirror pictured below.
Wayne Box also had two lovely Carp to 26lb including a Ghostie of 22-08. This will be covered in more detail in my next update.
Malcolm Williams did even better and caught more than ‘The Squirrel’ by landing over 20 Carp himself. Malcolm was staying in Egret Lodge on Cherry Pool with his lovely wife Sylvia. he caught his first carp within an hour of arrival (a Common of 12lb pictured below) and caught steadily throughout his trip. he landed several carp around 15lb and reported most of those landed were doubles. He also had a very impressive Bream of 7lb.
