Julian Dwyer lands 13 carp from Grebe Lodge

Returning guest Julian Dwyer certainly struck lucky this weekend with an impressive catch of 13 carp from Grebe Lodge which included 7 20′s including this very honest 29-14 Common below and ‘The Peach’ at 24-04.

As always ‘the Peach’ looks absolutely stunning. I did not realise he had caught her until I reviewed Julian’s photos. Well done Juilian and see you next year.

A 28lb Common was also reported by Aaron fishing in Heron Lodge

Big catches, whilst they are not the norm, are not unusual on Cherry Lake in the mid April to early June period as the Carp get increasingly active and have a good feed prior to spawning. Julian’s catch follows very closely on the tail of Ken O Connors record catch of 29 Carp in a session.

Pochard Lodge produced 9 Carp to just over 20lb whilst Ross Booker in Egret Lodge on Cherry pool caught a good mixed bag of Carp, Bream, Roach and Tench including two good Crucian Carp including this 2-12 fish pictured below. I just love these Crucian Carp.
