Booking Your Holiday

When you book your holiday, you are accepting our agreement and the Terms and Conditions detailed here. We will only deal with the lead name, who must be an adult when you book. When we say ‘you’ or ‘your’ we mean the lead name or everyone travelling in the group depending on context. The person making the booking is additionally responsible for ensuring that all members of their party understand and agree to abide by all conditions.

Booking confirmation: A booking is confirmed following the payment of a deposit or full payment. All guests will have received a copy of our agreement including these Terms and Conditions upon booking and will be deemed to have agreed to them. If you change your mind due to these Terms and Conditions within 7 days of booking you will receive a full refund.

All bookings are made directly with Cherry Lakes. We do not use agents. Any booking made through Cherry Lakes is not transferrable. We will not honour fraudulent bookings offered by individuals or agents! Beware of deals which look too good to be true!

Our agreement

Our agreement sets out what we expect from each other when you buy a holiday with us. Management reserve the right to not accept booking requests and do not have to provide a reason for doing so.

General Conditions

Fishery Rules: A full set of the fishing and guest rules detailing what is required whilst anglers and guests are at Cherry Lakes, including details about tackle and rigs, are available on our website, through this link. All guests and anglers are expected to strictly follow the rules and to immediately and positively respond to requests and instructions from fishery management.

Safe handling of the Carp and physical capability. All anglers must be physically capable of landing, unhooking and returning up to 50lb+ Carp safely or have a companion with them at all times that can. Anglers will not be allowed to fish if we do not consider they are able to do so safely. NO refund will be given if you turn up and are not physically capable of landing and handling the Carp safely.

Children: No children under 12 can stay in, or visit, the Lodges due to the proximity of the water. Babies who are not yet walking are welcome in the Lodges. Children of all ages are allowed and welcome in Cherry Lake Cottage.

Child Anglers. Any angler between 12-16 can only fish when accompanied by an adult.

Pets: Sorry, no pets, including dogs, are allowed.

Smoking: All Lodges and the Cottage are strictly non-smoking. Ash trays are provided on the external patio table for use. If any guests are found to be, or have clearly been, smoking within any Lodge or Cottage then a deep cleaning charge of £250 will be applied as a damage charge.

Groups: No bookings for single sex groups of more than two will be accepted without the express prior agreement of the owners.

Visitors: No visitors to guests are allowed without the express prior agreement of the owners. Reasonable requests will normally be permitted.

Guests with Physical and Mental limitations and/or disabilities. Guests with physical and mental limitations and/or disabilities are welcome at Cherry Lakes. You must ensure that we are made aware of any conditions at the time of booking. Any guests or anglers with physical or mental limitations and/or disabilities must at all times be accompanied by at least one other responsible adult who can assist them (if they are, for example, unsteady on their feet and may fall) or call for help in the case of an emergency. Such guests must not be left on their own given the obvious dangers of the proximity of the water and falls etc.

All anglers must be physically capable of landing, unhooking and returning 30lb+ Carp (up to 50lb+ on Cherry Lake) safely or have a companion with them at all times that can.

Winter bookings: We will endeavour to let you know if the lake is frozen before you arrive, but we recommend you always contact us if the weather is particularly cold before setting off. Normally our aerators keep the lakes ice free.
